Build Log 1: Gate cleanup and surface preparation

First, I'm starting with gate cleanup for all the parts. I'm using a thin-blade nipper for a two-step cut, followed by scraping with a hobby knife and then sanding. Since the kit is white, imperfections really stand out, so the final result depends on how carefully I do this step.
